Last year I had a really bad bout of food poisoning and I was completely knocked out for a couple of days, which got me thinking about how my body was actually handling all the bacteria and toxins at the same time. I started reading about antibodies and was shocked to learn that these proteins are constantly being produced by our immune system to target harmful substances, or antigens, like bacteria, fungi, viruses, and even chemicals.
